Movie Poster ripoff's - X-Men & The One (1 Viewer)

So, I'm driving home last night, and out of the corner of my eye I notice that a movie poster is displayed in one of the TTC bus stops.
Automatically, I think "Why is there still a poster up for the X-Men movie?", but then it hits me - this is a movie poster for Jet Li's upcoming filme The One.
Check it out:

Granted, the X-Men poster I remember from the theatrical release was zoomed-out a bit, so you could see more of the circular "X" (I just did a cursory search).
The shodowy figures centered within the separated logo... the colors, the backlighting, the fonts...
Anyone else thinking rip-off?

Definitely looks like a rip-off!
Personally, I think The One looks absolutely horrible. I mean, how in the hell can you beat a "guy" who can bend reality, slow time, and defy gravity? Damn, Superman couldn't even do that.

Deviating from the poster topic, but I'm a sucker for the reality-manipulation movies. It stems from my affinity for the RPG Mage: The Ascension. The Matrix and Dark City immediately come to mind...ah, I'll be going to see The One.

And you're right about the posters. I hadn't noticed it before, but the resemblance is certainly more than coincidental.

Maybe they are trying to target the same audience who saw X-Men? By having similar posters maybe some kid will see it and think "Must...see...the...one...x-men...was...cool.."
Not so suttle subliminal marketing?
