Movie composer Michael Kamen dies at 55

    Of suspected heart attack. Even if you don't know who he was, you've probably heard his musical contributions. Just picked up "Concert For George" DVD last night, and he was involved as well.

    If you can, pick up Liona Boyd's "Persona". It features Mr. Kamen's arrangements interlacing Ms. Boyd's acoustic guitar with the electric guitars of Eric Clapton and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) plus the cello of Yo-yo Ma.

    ... Although I've always found his best work to be his scores to Gilliam's Brazil and Baron Munchausen. Check out the Criterion DVD of Brazil for an interesting interview with Kamen.
