    Hey all,
I recently ordered some Energy e:XL-16's. They are going to be put on a shelf in my study... bookself speakers... shelf... go figure. Anyway, I was told by a salesman that these speakers needed to by put on speaker stands. Is this guy full of shiznit or is there some acoustic principle here that I don't know about.
I was thinking of placing little rubber feet on the bottoms of the speakers to isolate vibrations from the shelf so it doesn't rattle and the speakers don't move around, will this change anything in the speakers sound?
    Thanks ahead of time.
