While visiting a friend who is just now getting into DVD's, I picked up their copy of Moulin Rouge and looked inside.

Her's had a third disc in a cardboard slip. Not having time to investigate further, it looked like the movie score on that disc and was housed in a slit on the inside cover of the case.

Does this come standard? I ask because everywhere I look it doesn't mention this disc but her packaging was designed to house it.

Sean, it is very true. I saw the third disc with my own eyes. It was in a cardboard slip, still shrink wrapped and had the same cover design graphics as the DVD packaging.

Was it a promo, one time only thing? Is it standard issue? Or why was her's different?

There was a corner pocket on the inside cover which sometimes houses booklets but this was a 3rd disc.

I got the third disc. It was simply a CD single of "Come What May". That is all that is on the disc and it is the same version as the one on the current soundtrack.

I do have a track listing for the new soundtrack though.

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 01 - Opening, Overture

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 02 - Nature Boy (movie version)

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 03 - The Green Fairy

Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 04 - Harold Zidler Rap, Lady Marmalade, Smells Like Teen Spirit

Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 05 - Because We Can (movie version)

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 06 - Spectacular Spectacular

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 07 - Like A Virgin

Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 08 - Come What May (movie version)

Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 09 - Le Tango de Roxanne (movie version)

Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 10 - The Show Must Go On

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 11 - Come What May (reprise)

    Moulin Rouge - Soundtrack Vol2 - 12 - Ending, Closing Credits

It's a Wal-Mart exclusive. You only get it if you bought it at Wal-Mart.

    Roby,

I believe that track list is incorrect. Let me guess ... you saw those MP3s floating around the net. Those MP3s are just audio ripped directly from the DVD.

Just listen to track 2 and you'll hear the typewriter that Ewan is using at the beginning of the film. I seriously doubt they'd keep that sound effect on the CD.

Actually, its not just Wal-Mart that got CD samplers. A lot of other stores also got CD samplers. K-Mart had a version with two songs sung by Nicole Kidman on it.
