Director is easy - Rainer Werner Fassbinder with 27 films.

So my top actors and actresses are those that appeared in most of his films like Kurt Raab (18), Ingrid Caven (16), Hanna Schygulla (14), and "Ma" Fassbinder aka Lilo Pempeit (13)

Non-Fassbinder actors would be harder to figure out. Probably someone like Humphrey Bogart or Max Von Sydow.

Offhand I would guess Liv Ullmann for actress, although if I took the time to add it up it could be someone more modern that would surprise me.

The arrival of the John Wayne/John Ford set has skewed my rankings somewhat. With the addition of those 8 films, and after a rough perusal, my score breaks down thusly:

Actor: John Wayne-17 films.
Director: John Ford-15 films
Actress: Olivia De Havilland-6 films (sure to grow if another Errol Flynn boxset is released).

I have to give some sort of honorable mention to the second place actor in my collection: Charlton Heston. He comes in @ 13 films, and with the exception of the Musketeer set, none of his films are part of a collection, so he got there one by one.

No one was close to Ford, though in my collection. Kubrick is probably second with 9, and I've only got 7 Hitchcocks
