More Sub ??????'s (1 Viewer)

I am still trying to figure out which sub to get
the HSU STF-1 or the STF-2? The STF-2 is just to large for my room. I also just read a review at onhometheater.com on the Mirage LF-100. It got a really great review. I was thinking the STF-1 but am affraid I will be missing something. I am playing 75% music with Axiom m22's.
I gave up on the Dayton and am hoping for a sub that isnt too large, the STF-2 is pretty large

I would still say go for the STF-2, as the STF-1 is $315 shipped direct from HSU, where as you can pick up an STF-2 at a local CompUSA for $350, but if size is that much of a concern than I think that the STF-1 may be a good choice. I have never heard the STF-1 but I still think that it would be a good sub and it will go cleanly down to its rated 32 Hz. Read some of the posts I linked to below to get some ideas of what it would sound like and help you to decide.

I am testing the STF-1 for Hsu now, and it is actually flat to about 30 Hz, will exceed 103 dB from 30 Hz and up, in room...

And most importantly, it sounds great... I love this little guy, and it can go anywhere...

Yes... It goes pretty low. A lot of people never realize this, but 30 Hz is really deep. I have been testing it in a 40x16 foot room.... and it does pretty well there.

It is really a bargain, and the sound quality is excellent...
