    Mid 90's

If you could only see the rain, she loves me

    And maybe you would understand

Why I feel this way about our love,

And what are you going to do,

When she says she loves me

The music and singing is a cross between rock pop and alternative rock.

    Mid 90's to 2000

Oh where oh where can my baby be?

The lord took her away from me

She's off to heaven so I've got to be good

So, I can be with her when I leave this world

The group sounds a little like REM and Five for Fighting

    Mid 90's

For the love you gave me, I cannot remember

    These little _______________

    ......

We will never die for these sins

    We were merely freshman

The group sounds a lot like Fuel though I'm pretty sure it's not.

Last Kiss is on a lot of the concert "non-bootleg bootlegs", but the one that received a lot of radio play was from the "No Boundaries: A Benefit For The Kosovar Refugees" various artists compilation. This also includes a pretty good Pearl Jam cover of the 60s chestnut "Soldier of Love". I have also seen import CD singles with just those two tracks.

    Regards,

Who did the "Hear they come to snuff the rooster" song.

Also, there was a skit on SNL with Christopher Walken on a parrody of "Behind the Music". It contains a popular guitar riff, and they were always messing up the song. I think it had a cow bell in the song. Who does it and what CD is it on.

Lastly, who did the song with the line "I love the way you smack my @$$."

This would be some big help.

"I love the way you smack my ass" is a song by crap-tacular Limp Bizkit protege's Puddle of Mudd. (The name of the song is Control.)

As for the other two, can't help you.

For Alice in Chains, you can start with Nothing Safe: Best of the Box. It's not definitive, but neither is the box set.

I have a few more. The piano song where in the video there is an owl on the top of it and the piano is going accross the the beach.

Who does the build me a buttercup baby song from the "There's Something About Mary" soundtrack. Are there any other compulations that have that song on it.

    Ryan,
At the end of videos, they tell the artist. Why not watch for it?
With a little digging, you could find this stuff out easy. A quick jog over to MTV, and I found out that the "owl on the piano on the beach" video is by Vanessa Carlton, and it's called A Thousand Miles.
Another shot over to IMDB, and I found out that the version of Build Me Up Buttercup played in TSAM is by The Foundations, and it's on the soundtrack.
These aren't obscure songs (in fact, most are recent Top 40 fare), and with some research, you could probably find them out for yourself.
