    Herm,
I've been keeping up on this one for a while now, and it sounds like it could be fun. Here's the dirt:
Cast: Stephen Dorff, Natascha McElhone, Udo Kier, Stephen Rea, Jeffrey Combs (!)
Director: William Malone (The House on Haunted Hill)
Plot: A series of deaths arouse the suspicion of a police detective (Dorff) and a health examiner (McElhone), who suspect it may all have to do with the victims' shared visits to a web site called Feardotcom, run by a "black widow" woman who may be playing a deadly game.

    If it's horror, I'm in.
Thanks to www.upcomingmovies.com for the synopsis and www.chud.com for the poster!

Jeffrey Combs and Udo Kier, eh? If this turns out bad I'll be very disappointed...

I've been waiting for this one for a good while, and I'll definitely be there opening night. I'm a horror fanatic, so I don't miss any horror film in theaters, but this one is one of my most anticipated.

I've seen a couple of commercials for this movie. I'm not really impressed by the commercials, but I am a big fan of House on Haunted Hill and Stephen Dorff (hot--hot).

I've never heard of The Ring. Is it any good???

    Regarding Ring (Ringu)

It's a very creepy ghost story. It's deliberately slow-paced and builds to one of the most hair-raising and spine-tingling climaxes ever filmed. There is no blood, so it's not for gore hounds, but definitely recommended.

Herm, I'm assumming you're talking about the original japanese version right?

I wonder how close to the original the American remake will be.

    Yes, Andres, the original version.
It will indeed be interesting to compare with the American version, RING

I did get a chance to see the movie. It was really scary, and the affects rocked. (great for computer geeks like myself).
So now I'm going to check out The Ring and compare. [IMG]

Why does the stench of "Hollywood Buzz Room" hang over this thread?
