“Plans also are under way for such entries as “Charlie’s Angels,” “SWAT” and “Married With Children.”
“Universal Studios Home Video is beginning its own substantial initiative into TV-series-driven DVD, taking advantage of the critical acclaim and substantial cult following of “Law and Order” by bringing out the first season of that series this month.”
This year and next, Universal will also release “Battlestar Galactica,” “Sliders,” “Quantum Leap,” “Dragnet,” “Emergency,” “Magnum P.I.” and “The Rockford Files.”

A mention of Married With Children... and Home Improvement was great. It's good to know (/me hides) Dawson's Creek is scheduled for the end of the season. Sliders & Quantum Leap out next year possibly too. Too bad no mention of The Wonder Years, Family Ties and a whole lot more [IMG]

We'll get WKRP when all the record companies have gone out of business. WAY too many music rights issues there. [IMG]

Married with Children coming to DVD??? 2 words: HOLY SHIT! Great news from Columbia. The only better news I can think of from them would be a release of both seasons of the Critic. But we'll take it one at a time. MWC is good enough for now. Hopefully it'll be out in the 1st half of 2003. Can't wait!

MWC is so incredibly mine when it comes out.

And did I hear someone say "Golden Girls..." If this is true I would never utter a negative word about Disney again, even if they remade "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" with Courtney Love and Eminem and marketed Donald Duck brand crack!

Now if Columbia would only offer Mary Hartman, Fernwood 2Night, Soap, The Facts of Life, and Designing Women I'd be set until about 2007. And the remaining episodes of Larry Sanders and the three Norman Lear series they have already done.
