Hi All,

I enjoyed the first 2 volumes of this series (video issues aside) and was wondering if it sold well enough to warrant the release of season 2 ?

That was released as a CBS Home Video MOD, wasn't it? I read on here that the CBS MOD was ending. I don't know how it might affect future releases of it. Like so many other shows, we all wish that 1 or 2 major companies would just acquire the rights to a lot of these shows we love and just put them out the right away-unedited, correct background music, good video/audio, etc.

I don’t think it’s so much ending as it is that CBS and Paramount remerged and that old department is going to be replaced by whatever new entity will service both companies. So I’m hopeful that it will continue in some form, just under a slightly different name.

I haven’t checked out Ben Casey yet but I’d like to. And I got their release of Our Miss Brooks which came out at the same time and I do hope we get more seasons of that too.

That was released as a CBS Home Video MOD, wasn't it? I read on here that the CBS MOD was ending. I don't know how it might affect future releases of it. Hi Tim,

I also read here about the demise of CBS MOD Dept.
I thought I read here also, that while this DVD set was distributed by CBS, the actual production was carried out by another company. If that's the case, CBS wouldn't be responsible for manufacturing it, just distributing it under the CBS Home Video banner.
Hopefully the new production entity, whatever its called, finds its profitable to release future Ben Casey seasons. This show deserves a full release.

That would be great news. I would hate to see more of these shows not being released.
