I have a Denon 1803 a-v receiver and Energy take 5.2 speaker with the 8in woofer, how should I set up the receiver (cross-over) to get more bass during DVD playback in Dolby Digital and DTS?

Glenn,

Set all your speakers to "Small", Sub to Yes. If you have adjustable crossover, set it at 100hz. Get a copy of the AVIA disc and a Radio Shack analog spl (sound pressure level) meter and calibrate your sub and speaker levels per the voiceover instructions. To get really strong bass, set sub level 5 db or so higher than AVIA spec.
