Interesting.

Looks like he has amnesia or might be crazy or soemthing like that.
Here is a synopsis of the series:

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Where did that synopsis come from?

That sounds absolutely nothing like the comics I've read. The 70s-90s Moon Knight was my favorite comic (and I own every appearance he made during that time).

If it's like many adaptations these days, they'll just use the title and create their own story and characters.

That synopsis sounds like it’s actually two separate consciousnesses (word?) in one body.
More like Firestorm.

It came from a site What's new on Disney plus that keeps track of everything coming on monthly calendars. I'm assuming they got the info directly from a Disney press release.
Many of the movies and shows have differed from the comics. Some more than others.

The trailer seems to be using the late 90s/post 2000 reboot as it basis, rather than the 80s/90s version of MK
I’m not familiar with that reboot, but the early 80s version was a favorite of mine, so I hope at least the tone from that survives.

I liked the trailer. Looking forward to this.

I also was a fan of Moon Knight from the 80s, specifically the "Fist of Khonshu" mini-series. But apparently this is not the version we'll be getting (although I recognize it's probably too much like Batman).

Before I was blocked from reading further it was indicated that he collided with another skier and suffered brain trauma. What a tragedy.

Very tragic about Ulliel. One of his first roles was in Brotherhood of the Wolf, and he was also known as young Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising, and the voice of Jack Frost in [the French language version of] Dreamworks Animation's Rise of the Guardians.

I'm not familiar with the Moon Knight property, but he was playing Anton Mogart/Midnight Man. Not sure how big a role that is.

I don't know either. Obviously, he should still be alive and my sympathies first and foremost to his family and friends for their loss. The small silver lining, if there is any, is that he left behind a big curtain call with Moon Knight. This in no way makes up for his death at all, but at least lot of people are going to see and be entertained by his work very soon. I'm really grasping at straws, but that's as close to a positive thing that I can pull out of what is obviously a terrible event.

the voice of Jack Frost in Dreamworks Animation's Rise of the Guardians.
Chris Pine is Jack Frost in Rise of the Guardians.

Yep, you're right. Pretty sure that was in the CNN article I read earlier, but I see it has been recently updated and that is no longer listed.

Correction: He was the voice of Jack Frost, but it must have been in the French language version (listed in his filmography on Wikipedia). :D

I thought it might have been that. Obviously, most of us here don't think about foreign dubs of films released in English because we speak English. But particularly for family films, I'm sure they're done all the time and are important in getting those films seen throughout other parts of the world.

Are you a fan of the comics? I'd be interested in your take on the interpretation once it gets going.
I was a fan of Moon Knight when he first appeared back in the 70s to early 80s. Written by Doug Moench (who'd done some outstanding work for Marvel's Shang-Chi comic) and drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz. Back then, Sienkiewicz's art looked like wannabe Neal Adams, which made Moon Knight seem like a wannabe Batman. It was still great stuff, though. I've not followed what Marvel has done with the character in the intervening 30+ years, though.

I've no idea what the D+ series will be like. I imagine that, like Shang-Chi or Eternals, it'll be closer to a more current depiction of the character than the classic version. But with Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke headlining, I'm in.

My wife, however, after we watched the trailer, is less sure about it. We shall see.
