What DVD other than TS2 (ultimate Box) uses the Moo Can THX trailer? I already own TS2 and don't want to spend $60 just to get a good trailer! Thanks!

I believe that's the only one. The Pixar-produced THX trailers show up very infrequently on mass-market software. The only LD to feature the original "Tex" trailer was the special edition of Toy Story.

The DVD that comes with the book "DVD Demystified" has several trailers for THX, DD, etc. along with several sequences showing differences in bit rate, CBR vs. VBR as well as other good stuff. The book is also excellent if you are at all interested in the inner workings of the DVD specification.

There is a THX demo dvd that has a couple of trailers plus, jungle sounds (audio only), and trailers for Austin Powers 2 and The Astronughts Wife all in EX sound.I had a bunch, but gave all but one away. I know these are not for sale , but I bet there are some people who could be selling this disc.Possibly ebay. L [IMG]

Thanks for the info...found a couple on Ebay but not sure if the Moo Cow Trailer is on the disk. There was also a disk on ebay for $150 for all of the THX trailers including the simpsons...who would pay that much for trailers?

It's a variation the THX trailer with the flying mechanic who has to fix the THX logo which does stutter. But instead of repearing it he connects the MOO-can and the THX sounds emerges into a huge MOOOOOOHing. [IMG] Hope this helps.

It's one of two THX trailers that played in theaters, created by Pixar and featuring a little robot known as "Tex". He demonstrates a noisemaker shaped like a can that makes a mooing sound when shaken. Then he connects the can to a giant THX logo, and it turns into a stampede.

Is it the TEX trailer with the Cows or the Broken Down THX Logo?

    Dave,
It's the one with the broken THX, no cows.
