Monster Squad? Is this a Region 1 release or an import? Or what?

In regards to monster squad, I believe it's the VHS version that some guy out on a DVD. It's NTSC and he cleaned it up a little with some hardware he has. I saw them on sale on Ebay. I could be wrong though (that's the only monster squad DVD I have come across). Don't know whether it's legit or not, but I would be willing to trade From Dusk til Dawn (Dimension Collectors series in widescreen and with full-tilt boogie)for it. I would like to see some pictures and get a little more info first too.

If Chris is not interested in your offer... I have the same Monster Squad DVD (see the 2nd post in my trade thread) available, and I'd be more than willing to trade with you.

My copy is the same one obtained from the Ebay seller (Classical_Video) that you're referring to and it comes in a keepcase with professional studio-looking cover art and disc labels. It has menu screens and full chapter stops as well.

Video quality is similair to that of the VHS version and only slightly improved... if you've seen the video recently than I'm sure you'd be quick to acknowledge the poor quality, even for a 1980's VHS... So while the resolution on this transfer is only slightly improved, it is still noticeable.

The picture is very grainy and washed and the soundtrack, like the video source, is not of super quality. Still in light of the mediums that this film is currently available - It's unfortunately better than what currently exists / nothing.

I would post screen captions if I had the resources but they can be seen in the seller's auction listings. Unfortunately, I just browsed through Ebay's archives and he doesn't seem to currently have this item available anymore, nor was it recently listed as I've taken the liberty to browse recent listings that had ended as well.

If I am able to come accross some screen grabs I will surely post them.

KellyR i am having trouble getting a screen capture of this movie on my computer, but it looks greta, but not that great, as for your offer, i would be interested.
