Believe it or not that's an ape just like a chimp, oragutan, and gorilla. It's called a gibbon. And yes it's stupid.

Gibbons are indeed apes, but not great apes (all the others you mentioned are great apes).

Still, they are apes all the same. They do kinda look like monkeys though. I'm kind of weird and picky like that though so don't mind me.
