    Hi All,

Looking for some advice. I can get a slightly used discounted pair of Monitor 11 v2's, or a pair of new Monitor 7 v3's (there is only a $100 price diff). I have listened to both, but unfortunately in different places w/ different recievers, so it is hard for me to know which truly sounds better.

Does anyone have an opinion as to which is the way to go? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Taylor

BTW: what is the latest version for the CC-370 is it in v2 or v3?

    Taylor,

I have the monitor 11 v.2 and did several auditioning at local dealership just over a year ago.

I personally liked the fuller/richer mid range that 11s produced over the 7s.

Maybe want to check out the studio 20s.........

I believe CC-370 V.3 is the latest. Good luck!

    Steven

I haven't tried the v2 versus the v3 CC-370 but I did A/B the Studio CC versus the CC-370 v3 and the Studio was appreciably different. Bass seemed deeper and since I have the Studio 40's, to my suprise, timber was different on the 370 versus the Cc v2.

I orginally bought the v3 370 and then decided to switch to the Studio when I heard a timber problem. But, I was able to A/B them over a weekend. The Studio was the winner mostly because of the timber matching.

IMHO, the 370 V3 is excellent but the price wasn't that much of a difference.

I have been thinking about upgrading to the Studio line!!

I'm hoping that Mike can see his way clear to bring those Studio 40's to our upcoming HTF Meet at my place.

I'm very interested in comparing along side my original Monitor 7's!!
