Mobile Audio/Video systems... how affordable and easy to install? (1 Viewer)

Good day fellow HTFers,

I was hoping to get some information on mobile A/V systems for my minivan.

I have no clue what the main differences of mobile A/V systems are and if there's justification for paying $1000+ for the installed systems over the all-in-one bag type.

Is there any brands in particular I should look at and are there any brands to steer clear of?

I'm looking for personal experience and website links so I can do some research.

Heck, I was orginally thinking I could get a 12V AC/DC adapter for the cigarette lighter and install the 13inch TV/VCR combo set we currently have in the bedroom and install it in the minvan and be done with it.

I appreciate any and all help.

It's setup similarly to HTF and there is a Video & Multimedia section which would be a good place to browse for info.
