Have you considered buying a new TV?

Might need another bulb. They only last 3 or 4 years.

I had this same tv. Gave it away in ‘13. Not sure what’s it’s status is now.

If I can remember correctly didn’t this model have an issue with the light engine?

Not sure about the light engine??? No issues before that I can recall
I did have issue with power supply board cleaned off the dust with electric canned spray and vacuumed and has worked fine ever since.
If it's the bulb I can replace just was wondering if something else was going on
Thank you

Start with the bulb. You won’t know of something else is going on until you do.

On a side note, I was disappointed to see Mits fall by the wayside in the TV world. Their CRT TVs were state of the art in the 90s – I held onto mine until it died on 2009 or so, waiting for the price of plasmas to come down. Never cared much for the rear-projection TVs of the late 90s and early 00’s because I felt their picture quality sucked compared to my Mits CRT, but indeed the best picture I ever saw on one of those was a Mitsubishi. Their DLP flat screens (like yours) were widely recognized as “best bang for the buck” in picture quality. Keep using as long as you can!
