I am wondering if anyone here knows about the new Mitsubishi WD-52627 1080p DLP HDTV? I have been looking at this tv and am very impressed with the picture. Some salesman at Frys told me that it would not display a true 1080p picture even from a 1080p format. Like Blueray or HD-DVD, but in hd-dvd case I think its only capable of 1080i anyway. From what I understand Sony's blueray will be capable of 1080p. So will the Mitsubishi WD-52627 1080p DLP HDTV show it in 1080p or will it only accept 1080i and upconvert it to 1080p?

SOUND & VISION has a review in the Sept issue. "The Mitsubishi still feell short of fully resolving a 1080i signal..."

'Wobulation' "TI achieves a 1,920 x 1,080 effective pixel resolution using half that number of mirrors. There are only 960 x 1080 micromirrors on the grid, but each of them, in effect, creates two separate pixels, one after the other."
