...had ~100 red lines going thru the screen when turned on.

They hauled it away last week, and now its back.

First, they replaced the entire light engine - whats that, about $1000?

Second, the new light engine looks BETTER than the old! There was some vertical banding (I think) on the old one, this one looks as clean as a DLP! The original TV was one of the first off the assembly line, and the newer ones look better - this one does now.

Third, unless something comes up, looks like everything is perfect and back to normal.

So very nice and I am SOOO happy there was no issue.

    WD-52528 (52" LCD rear projection).

I cannot believe it looks much BETTER than before - the old LCD's had some pretty heavy lines and banding, this one looks like a DLP!
