soon we'll see....
any advanced info???
someone shoulda seen this on display somewhere by now....
I glanced at the features on the Mistu site. They are close to the ones on the WS-65411 that's being delivered today. I'll post something about it tomorrow if it will help.
After getting dizzy from too much research... I just said "I'm goin' in" and ordered the WT-42311 today.
I have very limited space..and it's a tabletop set!
Seems to have everything ya need, short of an HD tuner
(Im not worried about DVI at this point)
My last real source of worry was uneven phosphor wear..and it turns out (ok maybe I'm the last to know) that this
model will actually move the bars.. as it senses the problem before it occurs.
I'm making this decision based on my trust of the Mitsubishi name and the fact that Im purchasing it from
a small, high-end dealership with whom I've had great follow-up support over the years.
Any comments/suggestions on the 2003 Mitsubishi line?
Here's the rest of the system:
(this is a SMALL room!)
Pioneer Elite VSX29-TX receiver
Pioneer Elite DV-05 DVD player (non pro-scan)
Pioneer CLD606 Laser Disc (STAR WARS trilogy!)
Infinity 2006 reference series all around
Monster 3500 power conditioner
Monster cable all around
A PS2 that's used about once a month
A comfy couch
PS.. this is my first post.. so I apologize in advance
if it's a bit clunky
Welcome to the forum, Bill! Let us know what you think when the tv shows up.
It looks like the 55311 is the big brother to my 42311!
Do you watch any NTSC? I have a pretty good analog cable
signal here...and would like to watch TV in it's proper aspect ratio.. (although I don't mind playing with display modes when Im bored...and to keep burn-in to a minimum)
..so..if u do watch NTSC.. do you have any tricks/pointers/settings?? Im encouraged to hear that the
tv has only gotten better with "age"
70% of TV time is my wife watching cable and it does great. 100% of THAT time my TV is on "STRETCH" mode. I barely noticed at first and don't even now.
Tricks? Use the small POP window to cover station ID's and other "bugs". Also use the remote to lock out the front access buttons so your tv won't reset to default "torch" mode by accident
Let me know how you like the set!
This is a nice TV. Pretty bright for a tabletop. Kind of a cheezy cabinet but it is a budget-minded TV. Highly recommended.
