The amount of misinformation about the Platnum and Platnum Plus models out there is staggering.

I was under the understanding that the Platnum Plus models 55819 and 65819 models came with an intigrated HDTV tuner (at least according to Mitsu's website). Now I see PCRICHARD has the 819 for 2495 and it has no tuner. Am I looking at different years models?

If so why when I go to last years models on the site does it not have the 859? I am so freaking confused!

I am in the hunt for one of these models and from what I know (which aint much)....the integrated HDTV tuner is only on the Ws65869 and not the ws65819 which are both platinum plus models.

If you look at the mitsubishi website, under the webpage for the ws65819, the title specifically reads hd-upgradeable which is different than the ws65869 which reads HDTV-integrated.

I think the 859/869 at the end of the model number indicate the HDTV integrated.

Incidentally, I phone sears today and they only carry the ws65809 which sells for $2999.88 but the salesman stated that it is a closeout (indicated by the .88 at the end) which means they will be getting some new models. He did not know when.

I was hoping to get them to price match but so far I have only been able to find one $100 less than their price when shipping is included.
