Mits 73907 demo for $5500? (1 Viewer)

I was planning on waiting until next year to get a 2002 or 2003 model, either 65" or 73", possibly with integrated tuner, but the local dealer is having a private sale in a few days, and is blowing out this 2001 model. It lists for $9500, and is currently on sale for $7000, so I know that $5500 is a heck of a price.
I was hoping to get one of the newer models with the 1394 and HAVi digital command control system on the integrated tuners, but the 73909 w/ integrated tuner lists for over $10,000, and the 65" price is TBA in Q1.
Now, the question is, do I jump on this price, and wait until mid-2002 for the tuner module that Mits should have available and possibly forego the new 2002 features? Or is the next generation of HDTV lenses, screen, processing, etc, in the 2002 model worth the extra price?
Thanks,
Geordon

I tend to agree with Frank, although if they throw in an extended warranty that does cover CRT wear, it would be tempting.
