I just got a 55311 Mitsubishi. When viewing the
Dish Network channel guide the text is all blurry.
It's like a white ghosting offset from the colored
text. I've done the convergence to the best of
my ability. What else is there to adjust? Brightness
and contrast do not clear it up. Sharpness helps
if I turn it all the way up but I know that's not
how it's supposed to be. What do the six small knobs
behind the front panel do? Thanks

Dave:

I just bought the 55311 too. I love it so far but like you want to tweak as much as possible.

I adjusted the video with S& V Ovation DVD and I saw an improvement in the color fidelity.

Would you recommend that I do the 64 point convergence?
Never did it and I'm scared of screwing it up.

you cant really screw the convergence up. if it dosent look good you can just move it back or reset factory defaults but the convergence is very easy to do just a little time consuming if it is off alot

What do the six small knobs
There are two set of three knobs. Each knob has a letter next to it: (R) Red, (G) Green and (B) Blue, as you might have guess. One set is called focus, and it's for adjusting the focus of your TV, you can play with these to see if you can improve your picture. The other set is called screen, whatever you do, DO NOT touch these knob, or you will mess up your balancing of colors and therefore your grayscale. Hope that helps.
