I have the Blu-ray of Dead Reckoning, so I fancy the twin 4K set of both films (I intended to see the last one at the cinema, but I'm weakening, so it could be the 4K at home)...& meanwhile stay well clear of any reviews or comments - although I'm thinking that the bad guys lose :)

Disappointing conclusion. I’ll still pick this up tho.

Just remember there probably won't be an individual Blu-ray release. Paramount has stopped releasing their new titles on Blu-ray only since last year.

I am conflicted about this for a similar reason. I am not enthusiastic about this film. But I have all of the others.

I hope there isa commentary. McQuarrie and sometimes Cruise have done them in the past. I would really like to hear why they made the choices that they did in a spoiler zone. It might help me to appreciate it more.

Not completely!

That particular film has a strange history in comparison to other Paramount films that were given wide theatrical releases here in the States. It seemed like this German film was more available digitally than in movie theaters in the States.

Wow a 25 dollar premium for the steel book. Boy this just came out and already announced for disc before the first weekend is complete.

September 5 has a standalone Blu-ray because Paramount clearly didn't feel a 4K release would sell. That's obviously not the case with a Mission: Impossible film so they're bundling the formats together.

Yet, Paramount+ really promoted the 4K/Dolby Digital, and it's been available for purchase on iTunes, Vudu and other digital services for several months.

I have the rest of the franchise in SteelBooks, so I'll need to get this one as well, but $50.99 is a big ouch. Even if it comes down a bit before release, this kind of premium has really put me off collecting SteelBooks anymore.

Most of the time (but definitely not always!) the steelbooks end up being about $35. I’d try other sites like DeepDiscount or Target.

Today, I drove past the location where they filmed part of the train climax in the previous instalment (Romsdal, Norway), as well as the motorcycle parachute jump. My friend, who owns the house in the picture, watched Tom Cruise roll by on the roof of the train. They waved at each other!

Ha, there'll be a DVD, Blu-ray & 4K physical release. Paramount won't want to miss any format out :)

Steelbooks and vinyl lps are competing for having the hiighest price!
