I am trying to complete my Hitchcock collection. I realize that most of the currently available films from his period in Britain are poor quality releases (some with questionable legal status).

Does anyone have information about the following titles, or for that matter if they even still exist?

    The Pleasure Garden 1925
    The Mountain Eagle 1926
    Downhill 1927
    Champagne 1928
    Mary! 1930
    Elstree Calling 1930
    An Elastic Affair 1930
    Waltzes from Vienna 1933
    Foreign Correspondent 1940
    Mr. and Mrs. Smith 1941
    Suspicion 1941
    Bon Voyage 1944
    Aventure Malgache 1944
    Stage Fright 1950

The Mountain Eagle is a lost film.

Foreign Correspondent, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Suspicion, and
Stage Fright are coming to DVD later this year from Warner Bros.

According to the live chat here with Warner Bros., there are seven new-to-dvd Hitch titles coming later in 2004. Elsewhere I read that they are rumored to include:

    Foreign Correspondent
    Mr & Mrs Smith
    Suspicion
    Stage Fright

    as well as:

    Dial M For Murder
    I Confess
    and
    The Wrong Man

That's four on your list that are ALMOST certain to be released this year. I don't currently know too much about your remaining titles.

    Further to that:
    - Bon Voyage & Aventure Malgache are available from Image
    - Downhill is on a German R2 set "Alfred Hitchcock - The Early Years" from Concorde - This is a legitimate copy and in pretty good quality as well

I have copies of The Pleasure Garden & Waltzes From Vienna from TV. But these as have yet to be released on any format [IMG]

How are the releases for Bon Voyage and Aventure Malgache? I wasn't exactly thrilled with Under Capricorn's release but will probably buy BV and AM regardless of the quality.
