Does anyone know when mgm plan to release misery on dvd in the u.k. I noticed that the bbfc have classified over 45mins of extras for the dvd,but i can't seem to find any info on a release date.

We have just received a STOP PRESS last minute announcement from the guys at MGM Home Entertainment stating that we can expect a special edition of Misery on July 28th.
Extras include :
Audio Commentary: Rob Reiner
Audio Commentary: Writer William Goldman
Documentary: Misery Loves Company
Mark Sharman's Musical Misery Tour
Photo Gallery
Two Trailers (Teaser and Theatrical)

Good news. I got this one from R4 recently and it's a nice edition. I'd forgotten how good MISERY actually was.
By the way, Chris - you posted an announcement about A BRIDGE TOO FAR special edition on your site but it never appeared. I did e-mail you about it but got no reply. Any chance you could find out when/if it's due ?

I can honestly say that I didn't received the email :frowning:
I think MGM lost rights to the movie in Australia and now Fox will be releasing it in August.

Misery is readily available in Australia for around $A25 (less than 10 quid). Fox distribute MGM films on DVD in Australia.

Sorry, should have been clearer in my post. I meant that the A Bridge Too Far SE would be released in August, not Misery (going off topic, I know ).
Thanx Julian, that clears up why MGM aren't releasing ABTF in Australia. I wasn't aware that Fox distributed for MGM on R4. We learn something new everyday .

Fox distribute most MGM DVDs I think in Australia (they still have the MGM logo).
