This is a poll about good actors/actresses that made the mistake of playing bad characters or being in bad movies.
Jack Nicholson - The Pledge. This movie sucked horribly. No one will ever be able to change my mind. Jack nicholson is really a great actor, but he made a mistake with this one.
Harrison Ford - Random Hearts. This may be the only movie I hate more than The PLedge. Harrison Ford has been in so many cool movies, but he had to go and do something like this. What was he thinking?
Got any more to add to the list? I can think of a few, but I'll let y'all give some ideas now.

    I gotcha, Ches. Hmmmm.
    Some obvious ones:
    John Travolta in Battlefield Earth
Kevin Costner in Waterworld & The Postman
Rip Torn in Freddy Got Fingered
Anthony Michael Hall in The Adventures of a Gnomed Named Norm
    Whoopi Goldberg in Theodore Rex
Robin Williams in Patch Adams, Jack and basically anything else he's been in over the past 10 years...[IMG]

At about the top of my list would have to be:

Gary Oldman in Lost in Space and The Scarlett Letter.

    Of course, there is :

    DeNiro in Rocky & Bullwinkle

    Dustin Hoffman in Ishtar

Sean Connery in The Avengers. Of course, it may have been a good film before the studio executives cut one whole hour out of it...
But come on, multi-coloured teddy bears? A enemy organisation called Brolly?? Invisible men???

Forgot about Gary Oldman. He is so awesome in Professional and True Romance, but what was he thinking with Lost in SPace?

Well, he also did Dances with Wolves and The Untouchables, they were great films. Everything else was pure shit.

Here is a near miss mis-cast...Miramax wanted Kevin Smith to cast David Schwimmer and Drew Barrymore as the leads in Chasing Amy...[IMG] [IMG]

John Malkovich in Being John Malkovich, what the hell was that all about? [IMG]
Seriously, I would have to say Brendan Fraser in The Mummy films. He just doesn't fit in there for some reason.

Well, actually Ryan, I also liked him in Silverado, Bull Durham, The Bodyguard, A Perfect World, For the Love of the Game, and Tin Cup. Granted, not all of these are gems, but, I find all of them re-watchable.

Is Cage's accent in Captain Corelli even worse than his accent in Con Air?

Keanu Reeves was totally miscast in the movie "The Gift". It was hard to take him seriously as a menacing wife-beater.
