I wonder if this means it might be coming out soon???

Heard that there will be 4 audio tracks

    1) original mono mix

    2) A 5:1 mix(I remember hearing last year that it would be be a 5:1 mono mix..if that is possible

    3) commentary with Richard Lester and others

    4) a "scream" track....to recreate what it was like to see it in a movie theater in 1964

I just want it out soon.........

Maybe if we(Beatle fans)are lucky, Anthology will come out this coming fall/winter :p)

    5.1 is possible.

I'd like to see the excellent dialogue kept in the center, sound effects in the fronts (with some rear effects) for non-music sequences.

For the songs, remix digitally from the ORIGINAL recordings into 5.1! DTS, anyone?

FYI, the OAR should be 1.66:1 or 1.77:1. I forgot which one. (Most shots definately look composed for 1.66:1, though.)

The Japanese Region 2 is in 5.1 DD and DTS stereo. It is also 16x9.

The Miramax theatrical reissue was "mono" 5.1. The movie was mono except in the music sequences where they used the mono masters but opened up the sound. They supposedly have separate music and effects tracks, so they could remix to add more directionality with the sound effects, but I wouldn't want to see them go too far. I'd love to finally A Hard Day's Night see in a widescreen aspect ratio, though.

So does anyone have any clue when this might see the light of day?

Well, an early release of A Hard Day's Night is now available on region 2 in The Netherlands: it's from the new print in anamorphic widescreen (1.66:1) and has a DD 5.1 and a DTS 5.1 mix, all of which are outstanding according to this review.

    finally...assuming true.

I missed it in the theater last year and have regretted it ever since.

If those really are the audio tracks then it sounds like a fun disc. I 2nd the 5.1 info for the theatrical re-release (opening up for music) so I think the listing sounds reasonably realistic.
