This is one of my favorite movies. I do not own it on DVD yet, as the current DVD is not anamorphic.

Please issue an anamorphic DVD of this great movie. Of course, the more special features, including director/writer commentary by Billy Bob Thornton would be great too, but the anamorphic transfer is what I want most.

I am sure that it would sell extremely well!

This has to be one of my favorite films. I own the dvd, the cd soundtrack, the original screenplay, an autographed photo of Billy Bob in a scene from Sling Blade and the Criterion laserdisc. If you have a laserdisc player, I strongly recommend getting this Criterion release. It was my first laserdisc purchase and the reason I bought a laserdisc player.

add my vote,a criterion release would be great here's what I'd like to see:

    anamorphic WS
DD5.1 okay so it's mostly dialog but still 5.1 would be best
    commentary
    deleted scenes (if any)
    trailer
    cast/crew interviews
    a documentary or two

I knew there was a reason I don't own the DVD. I forgot there is no anamorphic version. I will not buy any DVD, regardless of 'how good it is' unless it is anamorphic widescreen.... Until then...

I definately re-purchase this movie for an anamorphic transfer, any SE extra features would also be very welcome, I reckon so mmm-hmmm.

I wouldn't avoid the current release just because it's non-anamorphic, but I'm not exactly running out to buy it. If there were an anamorphic release, I'd surely pick it up.

A Vista Series release is exactly what this title calls for! A great movie that definitely deserves top notch treatment!
I am getting frustrated that I can't buy one of my all time favorite movies in anamorphic widescreen yet! [IMG]
