Mini Projectors - are they worth it? (1 Viewer)

Thinking about getting a mini projector for evening viewing outside. I've seen them on Amazon for $100 - $200 with many good reviews.
Do these things really work?

I have no practical experience with them but I'm guessing they come up short, especially for outside. I will be keenly standing by to hear of anyone's actual experience.

No experience with them either but I'd suspect they're fine as long as you understand their limitations and don't expect daytime use. If I were in the market, however, I'd probably be looking at a used standard projector instead.

Not looking for or expecting much. Going to be a short throw, viewed only at night. 720p would be fine.

Yea, you might be surprised what's out there [used] in that segment. I ended up giving my 720P projector to a friend. You may pay a little more than $200.00 but probably not much. Here's one of many examples.
