Put a latest generation Radeon All-In-Wonder in the AGP slot, and either a HDTV or higher quality sound card in the single PCI expansion, and you have a pretty powerful machine, thats nice and compact... perfect for HTPC.
Firewire/USB 2 and LAN are built into the motherboard, so no extra cards needed there.

That Shuttle XPC SS51 is pretty amazing. It's only a matter of time before they come out with the FS41 (for AMD), I'm guessing. 1 More PCI slot would be great, so that you can get both the HDTV card and 2496 sound card.

I have the previous version (pre-AGP) SS50. Pretty good, but since it's cramped and heat is an issue, the fans are damn noisy. Like a giant Air Conditioner going in your home (noise)

But overall pretty good. I may get this one and sell my SS50

The SS50 doesn't have the heatpipe if I am reading things right. That addition has made these models much better (and quieter).
