the New version of Password Premiered tonight on CBS.

I never cared for password too much because you can't play along
as they give you the answers.

Even though i don't like password is still find myself watching on occasion.
It was more about the celebrities and the guests then the game for me.
This new version is just a bore.

it doesn't have the charm of the original series, any of them.

Also they changed the game.
now it's just a take-off of Pyramid.
the first segment is exactly pyramid, you have 30 seconds to give 1 word clues for the partner to guess a word, the password.

the winner of the lightning round goes on to play the big money round.
this is also exactly like pyramid.
the only difference is that the clues can only be one word not phrases
like on pyramid.

there is no set to speak of for the players. they literally just stand there on the the stage for the big money round.
the lightning round only has a something for them to lean on.

I thought it was ok, but I don't really remember the original Password all that well. I did feel bad for that guy though...he looked like he was about break down in tears when he lost.

The set is hideous...like it was made out of leftovers from the Millionaire show.

I like game shows, but was never a big Password fan for the same reason--what fun is it for us at home when we're staring at the answer? I would have tried this out until I saw Rosie as one of the celebs. No thanks. Celebs ruined Millionaire, and I'm not tuning in to watch their antics again. I didn't mind the celebrities in past incarnations of Password, but the current crop of stars leaves me cold.

Actually, the final round of Pyramid involved guessing the category based on being given items in that category... very much different than just guessing a word.

I'm not sure how the main part of the game is any different than on the old Password.

Didn't Password always have celebrities?

password has. Always had celebs as far as I know.

I already said why I think the first round is more like pyramid.
Old password first round was one word at a tme passed between the two teams until one team guessed the word.

Never had a pyramid like fast round of guessing 5 words within a determined am't of time.

Password and pyramid are very identical, difference is one is guess a phrase and the other is guess a word.

I'm just giving my thoughts on this new password , if you disagree its no big deal.
Its not that important. Just something to talk about.
