Hey guys,

I did a search before posting this but really didn't come up with much. I'm thinking of adding this to my system but wanted to check in here first.

1. I have a Yamaha 5140 receiver with Dolby Digital. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade? I have heard DTS and like it but should I make the jump and add this or just wait until my next receiver purchase and get one that does it all?

2. I have 6 channel inputs on the back of the receiver so I'm assuming that I could easily intergrate this?

3. On their website, the silver version is half the cost of the black one. Why is this? Is there a quality difference?

4. Finally, could you share any personal experiences with this unit?

Thanks in advance!

The Millenium 2.4.6 kicks ass. It sounds fantastic, I enjoyed many a LD, CD, and DVD in DTS on mine for years. It is an excellent way to upgrade to DTS for a minimum investment. It is a very high quality piece that is built like a tank. The lack of bass management may be a problem depending on your speaker setup.

I will second what Philip said.

It is a quality piece, but if you have smaller speakers you may want to hold off of that upgrade route and go with a newer DVD player such as the soon to be released Panasonic RP82 which includes both dts and DD decoders along with bass management.
