A couple of weeks ago RayKk started the Miles of Boredom tour. He claimed that Prisoner of War (XBox) was so bad that he would ship it to anyone who was willing to post a review and keep the chain alive by paying to ship it to the next in line.
The graphics are uninspiring, at best they would be considered mediocre if this was an N64 title.
I didn't hear very many sound effects and the voice acting is terrible.
The gameplay is quite linear, very repetitive, and incredibly boring. The ten minutes or so were interesting which had me hoping that the game had just gotten a bad rap. A week later I've literally replayed that first ten minutes a hundred times and nothing new has happened. Every day you wake up, attend roll call, have breakfast, talk to the same three people who say the same lines every time, then either get shot, get thrown in the brig or just sit in your room all day and night so you can wake up tomorrow and do the same thing. I could have forgiven the liner nature of the game if the plot actually went somewhere other than a circle but it doesn't. The plot is significantly less interesting than those apple II games I used to write when I was in junior high. I could string together a plot that was basic but interesting. This game is basic but uninteresting. The person or persons responsible for releasing this game need to find a new line of work.
Time is money and I've already invested too much on this topic. If I remember correctly Jason Quillen is next in line to review the game, as soon as I get an address I'll send it your way.

I'm going to have to skip this tour. I've got more than a few midterms / papers coming up, along with too many good games to occupy my time (Hitman 2, Time Splitters 2, GTA: VC). There was another guy that lived near me that was 3rd on the list, so I guess he's up (Sorry, the name escapes me right now)

You can tell this game is bad just by looking at the cheap cover art/production. Is that guy on the cover also the programmer???

Exactly what I was thinking since I first saw the cover art weeks ago. Probably the worst cover art I've ever seen for a video game.

I am now thinking of putting my Need For Speed 2 up for tour and call it Getting Screwed For Miles Tour.

Hi Carl,

I was the 3rd person for this game and since Jason is deciding to pass you can ship it to me.

I will PM you my address and will write my review later on.

Not sure what happened I started it and was happy to get the game as far away as possible, it did make it to a few people and reviews where written but then disappeared mind you it was just a test but I would and will do it again to see how far it goes, maybe if we start to ask for input on how this should be done it would be great, we can also make rules and what ever ideas people have, I think we all should enhance this concept and have a GAME WALL OF SHAME.
People may say they paid X amount of money and they just don't want to fire it out the window and thats ok, nobody's asking anybody give away their games but if you cant return the game and can afford to send it on tour great, this way people can try it and get input (and game makers do monitor these boards) and let the game makes know where they stand, if I was a game maker I wouldn't want to be on anybodies wall of shame but the fact is there is alot of crap out there and more crap keeps getting produced, bottom line is bottom line for producers and one thing I know for sure is these companies do not like to be ridiculed or given bad pr so lets hammer the crap out of them.
