Just read Jazzwise 70 and had a very extensive article on this new 5 cd set with loads of unreleased songs and outtakes.

sounds truly awesome set and the original cd was fantastic as well

This was released in september 2003 and could not find this in a search thread

I have liked most of the Miles complete sessions releases. I really loved the original so in other times this would be a no brainer. But today I want HiRes. Since so much of his work is finding its way to HiRes, I'll wait a bit.

Why was I not notified earlier?!

Given how much I love the original disc as well as both Sharrock's and McLaughlin's playing, I can't see myself not getting this. I'm not usually one for "completist" type sets, but there sounds like there is some very choice stuff on this.

Thanks for the heads up Oscar.

I'm assuming they're going to put out a remastered CD of the original album, like they've done for the other sets. I'm not one for academic style expensive boxes, but I would dig a remastered Jack Johnson.
