i'm no expert, but it seems that i find a grammatical or spelling error in a "professional" article at least once a week. i'm not even really looking for errors, either. glad to see mike tyson give it up. he's a few years too late. CJ
Damn, that's pretty bad. Well, what else can you expect from ESPN?
I don't buy it. This isn't the first time he's promised to "fade off into Bolivia". I predict he'll be back for the the money within a year or so.
The associated press reported today that even after this fight he will still owe almost 40 million...Blows my mind that people can be so stupid with all that money.
Boxing was done with him years ago.
But Pay-Per-View wasn't (isn't?). Bruce
I don't think they care. They get paid the same if it lasts 7 seconds or 8 hours.
I loved how he said he didn't want to dis boxing...As if biting Evander's ear, intentionally head butting opponents when he's losing and trying to break their arms in clinches didn't dis boxing. But I agree, he'll be back.
he has to be back. but he will continue to get whipped
It amazes me that people still pay attention to this clown.
And you aren't?
Did you see me say I watched this nonsense?
acknowledging and paying attention to are two very different things. CJ
I was hoping to see a Tyson/Harding (as in Tonya) match!
"May I have your Santa Fe Fingerlings, please?"-Jim Cummings as Mike Tyson in the "Tiny Toon Adventures" episode "Hollywood Plucky", written by Sherri Stoner ------------- I agree. Tyson's a dick and I hope he's gone for good. Sincerely, John Kilduff... "I'll box a box!"-Aries Spears as Mike Tyson on "MAD TV"
I recall reading an article in Sports Illustrated a few years ago illustrating (pun intended) how he actually spent all of his money. It was absolutely amazing to see how someone can burn through that much cash in so little time. But then again, we all need a few bengal tigers to play with!
IIRC, he said on Tv he's thinking about becoming a minister or something to that effect. Now that's scary.
Unfortunately I agree with most of the earlier posts that say he'll be back. The sad truth is that boxing needs him, even though he can't box. If he doesn't knock a guy out in the first 2 rounds, he doesn't win the fight because either he can't box or he doesn't have the patience to try to box.
