I just got through watching Midnight Run: Special Edition. It appears that there is a scene missing. When Jack Walsh takes Alonzo Mourning's FBI car, he then leaves the car with a pair of sunglasses on the steering wheel. The scene missing is when the FBI, including Alonzo Mourning, recover the car and Mr. Mourning sees the "inside joke" glasses.

What was this scene cut from the SE?

I am not that familiar with this film, but the scene may be a deleted one that is added back into the film for TV airings. This is common, especially with comedies.

I know that the recently released DVD is
identical to the laserdisc that was released
in 1988 or 1989, so if this scene exists, it
probably was for TV.

The only extras that are on the new DVD is a
short featurette and the theatrical trailer.

I had a copy of the videotape release of Midnight Run for the longest time, and was VERY familiar with the movie (at least as it was released on VHS). As with the earlier comments on the LD and original DVD releases, that scene did not exist.

Alonzo Mourning is a basketball player ;) . I don't remember that scene either.
