Hey

Not sure how much of this is already known as I'm from the UK myself so I'm sometimes slightly out of touch! But anyway, I was just nosying around MGM's US press site and the May and June schedule showed up. Anyway, naturally I downloaded the June one asap...but then it disapeared along with the May one a few moments later! So anyway, here are a few things of possible interest. Strangely Die Another Day isn't mentioned in the June details, so perhaps it could be a late May release afterall. Click the links below the images for a bigger version of each so you can actually read the text ;)

Anyway, forgive me if you know all this already! There's a couple of other pics but most relate to price drops etc. Update: Added one more that I forgot about!

Hmmm, it's all back on the site now and for some reason Windtalkers is getting a 3 disc director's edition this May! How bizarre. Also a special edition of Dances with Wolves which I know a lot of people have been waiting for. I'll try and get all this news on the site in a minute because I dont fancy doing screenshots for each again (it'll kill our bandwidth!)

Half Moon Street and Miracle Mile are a couple I remember catching on cable and enjoying back in the day. I guess I'll have to check 'em out again...especially at that price! :)

StarGate SG-1 S3 is welcome news, too. I'll pass it on to Gord, natch! Thanks for the info.

Well, I was excited about Miracle Mile, until I zoomed in on the fine print and saw:
Screen Format: Standard

This sounds like a port of the old laser transfer, which was full-frame also. I don't think this one's ever been released OAR.

Damn! Damn! Damn!

Oh, you're kidding me about Miracle Mile. PLEASE tell me you're kidding about Miracle Mile. That's been one of my all-time favorite wants from MGM and if they just dump this one as P&S, I'm going to crucify someone.

also coming in May, John Hustons THE UNFORGIVEN(1960- not '53 as was listed in the BITS.) The film stars Audrey Heburn at her lovliest, and Burt Lancaster, in a story that deals with racism and revenge in the old west.
Some nice 'scope landscapes, and a score by Dimitri Tiomkin.
