    Please release Jeffrey on DVD.

I'd love to see any amount of special features, as it would be quite easy to create a nice special edition (Stage to screen, cast commentary, writer/director commentary, deleted scenes, trailer).

I'd be perfectly happy if I could get a barebones edition in anamorphic widescreen with 5.1 sound.

Please consider releasing Jeffrey on DVD.

Absolutely. Has this one fallen through the cracks?

Yes, why isn't this gem on DVD yet?

(Oh, and we want it OAR!)

I completely agree! I am at wits end trying to find the old non-anamorphic DVD or even a Laserdisc copy. [IMG] Please re-issue this as stated above: Anamorphic, DD 5.1, and some extras. [IMG]

I wasn't aware it was ever on DVD, even non-anamorphic. Regardless, a new edition needs to be released.

I don't think there was a previous DVD release. At least with MGM we can count on OAR. Thank God this is not a bloody Columbia title.

I cannot find any of the information pointing to exact dates or details, so I appear to be wrong, but in 1998 or 99, I swear I could clearly remember my local shop had a big sign that Jeffrey on DVD was going OOP. I promised myself that I would buy it before they were gone locally but was too late. I remember they checked their San Diego shop, but they were out too. Obviosly I am mistaken.

I know the VHS had gone out of print for years, and I bought one of those at the last minute. I had been holding out for a widescreen release, which never came.

Jeffery has never been on DVD in R1. It was issued on laserdisc and is still in print on VHS.

Please all, don't even *think* about accepting a non-anamorphic DVD transfer.

Stand your ground. Tell MGM you want this title, but as they've done with so many other wonderful films in their library, you want this 16x9 WS and you'll wait a little longer to get it if you have to.

So, MGM, I would like Jeffery in 16x9 WS if you please...sometime soon???

Wholeheartedly, you have my support. [IMG]
(And thanks for the opportunity for a first-ever post to home theater forum)
Dear MGM: Please give us Jeffrey on DVD soon - and in an anamorphic OAR, no edge-enhancement transfer! I have waited and watched for this film since beginning to collect DVDs back in '99. So, when it is released I'll buy it for myself and several more for friends and family.
