Hey, this was a great 2.35:1 movie which my family loves on Turner Classic Movies, but on DVD it's Chop-o-Vision (aka pan & scan)! Can we get a remaster of this? It's not like it has never been done before: the laserdisc was widescreen.

While you're at it, I'd like to cast my vote for a widescreen version of the early Jim Carrey flick "Once Bitten". That dance scene cracks me up every time!

Thanks for the Stargate: SG1 boxed sets, by the way. Truly an excellent series and a great DVD masterpiece-- it'll tide me over until season 7 resumes in January!

MGM...your DVD of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the ONLY DVD of a 70mm film that can't be seen on the format in the original aspect ratio.

Anyone with TCM can watch it in OAR.

I have my widescreen LD; one of the many reasons I still have laserdisc.

A widescreen SE would be nice; next year is the 35th anniversary of the film; and Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes are still alive to do commentaries, as are the Sherman Brothers.
