what's taboo about changing the aspect ratio of a movie to 4:3 is that you actually lose part of the picture in so doing.

That's not why I'm against full screen for widescreen films, since a lot of films are matted. I do so because you lose composition.

Maybe mine is a crontradiction, but I don't really care at this stage.
