The extra features sound killer, however I am quite irked that it is going to be full-screen only. Well, maybe it was originally shot 1.33:1 and cropped to 1.85:1 for the theatrical release. Either way, it still sounds like a great set.

Being a lifelong Metallica fan, I'm looking forward to this release. I didn't get a chance to catch it when it was playing (I didn't WANT to see it in a public theater, actually). The extras should be great; all in all, this should be a killer complement to the "Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica" from way back when...

I'm boycotting this DVD. After the way they treated Dave Mustaine with putting the therapy scene in that he didn't want put in. Ever since that, Metallica will never get another dollar from me!

I saw Some Kind Of Monster in the theater, and I can say that it was exhibited in the 1.33:1 aspect ratio(window-boxed on the theater screen), and the DVD specs reflect this.

I am from the "camp" of not really a Metallica fan, but this was one of my favorite films of 2004. I can not wait to pick this title up.

It was gone so fast from the cinemas that I did not get a chance to see this.

Never thought that this was going to be a double disc.

I hear what you're saying about Dave Mustaine and yet he has gotten massive exposure for Megadeath at the same time.

I guess we'll never know the real story

Has anyone been able to find this title? For something that came out on 1/25/2005 - Circuit City said no copies arrived, Best Buy said no copies arrived - nothing (here in Tacoma, WA at least.)

I can't speak to the stores in the Pacific Northwest, but we got our copies here late. Perhaps there are issues elsewhere?

Thanks Jeremy.

It just seemed odd to not find this title in the two big stores around here. I didn't check any other Best Buys or Circuit Cities since I wasn't in the right area.

At least I did convince Best Buy that they had to give me a raincheck on their $19.99 price with "free" $5 gift card. (Tried the price matching thing with free gift card when Glengary Glen Ross came out a year or so agao - that was a challenge, so I'll just stick with this plan/price.)
