OK, for all you guys that aren't afraid of thinking "inside the box" the Merle Band Clamps are on sale again!
They are regularly $39.95 each but are on sale for $26.95 each or $45.00 for two. That's damn near half price! The last time they were on sale I bought 4 so get to ordering!

Brian's right, folks, buy a couple of those clamps and you'll be hooked. I've been using them for five years and they can't be beat. Forget your screws and use only glue and Merle band clamps for small cabinets. You'll save quite a bit of time on cabinet construction.

Yes, Jack, they do tend to force a cabinet into "square". And you can get them tight - pluck on the band and it sings - that's how I check for equal tension.

Ummm, I can't see how you could use these other than for mitred corners. What are you using them for?
