Does any one know if there is more than one version of Rain Man on DVD?

I do believe it's definitely coming this year. For some time, Columbia House had a listing for it, and they've been the first place to list new releases several times. They also listed the upcoming Fargo SE and a WB release of "Once Upon a Time in America", so I'm sure it will be coming in the not-too-distant future.

The current anamorphic widescreen version of Rain Man, which must have been among the very first DVDs ever released (with an initial street date of April 29, 1997), looks dang good to me.
Rain Man DVD question .... HOW do you choose between the WS and the FF versions? (Both are supposedly included on this 1-sided disc.)
Mine seems to default to the WS version (thank goodness)....but I see no menu choice for format. Anybody else have this difficulty?

David, just just select play and then it gives you a choice of P&S or WS

We can only hope this time around it includes the commentary. It's the only reason I still have my LD. (Same for Get Shorty...and The Arrival)

This time I hope it's a new transfer at the correct aspect ratio. It was tightly cropped to 1.78:1 and it looks like they zoomed in even more than that on the current DVD. The composition is off.
