MERAK, Anyone? (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have any experience with, or knowledge of these speakers? They seems to have an abundance for sale on Ubid.com but I can't find any info about them on the web.
I know they're made in Canada by the same company as Axiom, but that's it. I'm particularly interested in their powered subwoofers.

I never use the subwoofer, just their mains (L/R) and they are pretty good considering the extremely cheap price (bought at Rat Shack for cdn$149/pr). Still I'd rather get PSB Alpha for cdn$170/pr, though.
