About time! Just read about this a couple minutes ago:

    http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.c...n=item&id=4688

Porting Mega Man 1-8 to the cube with extras-count me in for this one. Kind of surprised that they didn't include the X games on there, but perhaps that's volume 2 (X series, legends, Tron Bone etc).

Still, good for Capcom! I'll be getting this one for sure!

Sweeeeett !!! I love the MegaMan games. Are there going to be any kind of graphics overhaul? The link provided does not seem to be working right now.

Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3 stand as two of my favorites in the series.

I hope you can use Gameshark codes with the games.. they are tough!! I'll cringe if it costs $50 just for ported versions of their old games. If they included the PSX Mega Man X's I think that would justify the price. But I do admit I am stingy when it comes to ports and re-releases. To me they have to really go all out if they want to charge full price for games they made years ago, even if they are classics.

Brian, I sure hope they don't do anything to "upgrade" the graphics. Faithful ports would be great.

As long as they fix some of the bugs (flickering graphics were a problem in some of the games), then I'm happy. The site sisn't mention any graphical overhauls, but there was extra content like original artwork and commercials.

Sine the Sonic Mega Collection retained slowdown and flicker inherent in the original carts (particularly with Sonic Spinball), I doubt the Mega Man emulations will make any strides here. My guess is, we will get exactly what we got on the consoles, slowdown and all. Admittedly, some of that slowdown/flicker actually helped me to pass certain levels.

MegaMan 1-3 are my favorites by far. I can't wait.

The early Megamans already got overhauled in Wily Wars, I don't know why they wouldn't include the improved versions unless they were too lazy to give you ROMs, a NES emulator, SNES emulator, AND a genesis emulator for $50.

I was reading up on this, and read somewhere that only that the audio was going to be improved. Not sure if that dis-cludes flicker cleanup or not, though.

Wonder if the infamous second controller cheat in Mega Man 3 will work? Or maybe the pause cheat from Mega Man One. Actually, without a select button on the gamecube controller, I dont see how the pause cheat would work, as that needed the select button in the first game. Or was it select that brought up the weapons menu?
