I could have sworn that sometime a few months back that this film was either in the pre-production phase for DVD...haven't seen a thing since (Sorry I cannot rememeber where it was).

Anyone know anything about this classic film and a possible release?

I'm in line with you. Have the $$ LD box set and would love a new DVD transfer!

This has got to be a big seller for MGM or Warners (whoever owns the rights).

Considering that Warner has said that the film in the the works for DVD, it would seem that they have the rights.

Patience, people. When it finally arrives, it'll probably be fantastic!

I think it was said the film was undergoing extensive re-mastering. I'm in line for this one too.

The color in this film is so luscious! I can't wait to see it in progressive scan mode. Great music too.

The documentary included in the LD set would also be a plus....and I'll "have myself a merry little" dvd.
