Newbie question. If I get this amp,(Adcom GFX-5500) how do I integrate it into my current home theater set up. I want it to power my front speakers when I listen to stereo only. I guess my question is how do I balance the volume when I am using my surrounds and center channel with the two fronts. If I can not do that than I shouldn"t get it. Thanks for the help. I currently have a Denon receiver doing everything.

Hi SteveL,

You would balance all the speakers by using the receiver's level controls for each channel, just like you would if you weren't using an outboard amp.

The only difference is that now the Denon is relieved of duty for powering your main L/R.

Make sure you use an SPL Meter and a DVD setup disc such as Avia.
