Having already had Furious Angels on vinyl for ages (its great in a very Clubbed To Death but better way), its just the second CD for me. I see they are wearing their Gibson steals on their sleeve again, then.

Two discs including some of Don Davis's contributions on the same release? Fantastic! Thanks for the alert.

I've heard it. The 2nd disc is much better than the first. Rob Dougan's track on the first disc is good as is Oakenfold's track and his remix of DMB are pretty good also.

I bought it yesterday at Future Shop; whoa! they had a lot! of copies available. I'm not going to unwrap it until after I see the film.

Just thought I'd add that it is an enhanced cd. Nice bonus.

This is some of the worst stuff I have exposed to my ears. I agree CD 2 is better but not by much. Being a fan of Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson I think these 2 are the worst on the CD.

Coming from a film score fan perspective, the best track by far is the Suite at the end of the second disc. For those who listened to the score of the first film, this will offer some moments reminiscent of "Ontological Shock" and "Anything Is Possible". Also, this time Davis puts in choral work into it, and the power is substantial.

In general, I find the Davis alone tracks to be quite good. The "Burly Brawl" has a few moments that blend styles well too.

Am I the only one that finds Session by Linkin Park to be very annoying?! Especially near the end?

I'm a film score junky which explains why I like the Don Davis tracks. I also am an Oakenfold fan. I've been fairly impressed by Rob D's work too. However, the other crap on the discs is well... crap. The Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Rage, etc tracks just didn't seem very exciting or good.

I think this thread shows some of the annoyance I had with this release. Granted, two discs for one price is fine, but I would have rathered have a separate "soundtrack" and film score release, with the score being better laid out and (perhaps) more complete. I was never interested in the songs compilation Matrix Soundtrack, but the film score CD to the first film was fine; for Reloaded, I still have no use for most of the first disc material whatsoever.

So far I have only listened to the first disc, but it is nowhere near as good as the first compilation soundtrack.

Everything they put out is annoying, it's because they are talentless little punks
Nice. :rolleyes:Anyways.

Did anyone else happen to end up with a "shattered" hub? With the blasted clear inset, I knew it wouldn't take long, and sure enough, when I opened it, both CDs were loose. Geez. :rolleyes

I stopped by the mall and listened to a few tracks on the 1st disc. I was mostly curious to hear the Oakenfold remix of When the World Ends by Dave Matthews Band. I prefer the original and argue that it would make a great radio single. The rumor is that they were all set to release it shortly after 9/11/2001, but decided against it given the apocalyptic lyrics.
